Major Update (04:14 PM)

I haven't posted here in almost two weeks, so here's an update for that time.

Monday, April 7th:
Thirty minutes on the StairMaster (if I recollect correctly).

Tuesday, April 8th:
Forty minutes on the StairMaster.

Wednesday, April 9th:
Only thirteen minutes on the StairMaster since we got some Astros tickets at the last minute and I had to get ready to go.

Thursday, April 10th:
I was quite proud of myself on this day because I did an hour and ten minutes on the StairMaster at pretty high levels too.

Saturday, April 11th:
Twenty minutes on the StairMaster before eating anything, effectively doubling my time.

Sunday, April 12th:
Twenty minutes on the StairMaster before eating anything, effectively doubling my time.

Monday, April 12th:
Either twenty or forty minutes on the StairMaster. I can't remember.

Tuesday, April 13th:
Forty minutes on the StairMaster.

Wednesday, April 14th:
Twenty minutes at a pretty good clip on the StairMaster.

Thursday, April 15th:
Fell asleep when I got home and didn't feel like exercising when I woke up, so I didn't.

On other fronts, the water drinking and the eating decent lunches are pretty much out of the window. I'm having a crappy time at work and feeling a lot of pressure from other sources in my life and I'm doing something I haven't done in probably six or seven years - comfort eating. I'm hoping I can begin to get some thing under control and not do this. Wish me lots of luck.

Oh sweetie, I know that feeling well! I hope the paxil helps, I'll keep you in my prayers! Hugs!

- Crystal April 22, 2003 10:39 PM

I know how the comfort eating goes. It is sooo hard to break because you get a pay off from it. Just remember that while you are trying not to use food as a source of comfort, you are making conscious choices to better your habits. You may not always make the right choices but each time it will get a little easier. *Hugs* I hope life lightens up on you and lets you breathe a while. Take care hon!

Hang in there ... you can comfort/soothe yourself without eating to do it. FWIW, I've found that if I keep a full water bottle at my desk, it's difficult to drink less than a half-gallon over an 8 hour period. Maybe I'm just a heavy drinker?

Great job on the upkeep of your dieting and exercising. And by the way it is sounding and looking, you are doing a great job!

Keep up the good work and good luck for the future! :-)

- Jillian September 24, 2004 07:02 PM

Good Luck. I am getting ready to get back into better habits. The water drinking has never been an issue for me, I can drink gallons of it if it is cold. Only I also can't go without my caffiene. :o(

Sunday Workout (02:52 PM)

I only got to work out Sunday this weekend since Saturday was spent at the Houston Arcade Group Expo, but I did do a full twenty minutes after getting up on Sunday. One day is better than no days, I suppose.

- Comments left behind -

One day is not enough, get up and move...

- beerconsumer April 18, 2003 03:56 PM

Yes, I also agree.

Sometimes one day is better than no days, if you know what I mean. :-)

Half Hour (11:21 PM)

I was able to make it through a half hour on the StairMaster at a pretty moderate speed. Not as good as forty minutes, but not bad for someone who hasn't worked out a lot in a month or so.

- Comments left behind -

Well done!! It smart to ease back into things slowly after a break like that rather than hurt yourself by trying to pick up where you left off. Good for you!!

- Peg April 5, 2003 03:54 PM

Well done! I know how that goes..its really not that easy. Keep up the good work!

Another Dollar (11:13 PM)

Chalk up another dollar for me. So far, every day this week, I've had five glasses (more than eight ounces in it) of water at work. Maybe I'm finally back on track with this for good!

Another Day.... (10:47 PM)

As the saying goes, today I made another dollar by drinking all my water. It's too early to see any kind of weight loss, obviously, but I am having to pee like fifteen times a day. Let's hope it flushes the system and gets me thinner!

Back to the Grind (08:00 PM)

I was able to fight off being tired and StairMaster for twenty minutes, but it was tough after not being on for so long. Time to get back into this routine for good.

Floating Away (06:28 PM)

I just finished my last glass of water and I feel like I'm floating away! Now if I can just get enough energy to go home and StairMaster....

Water Water Everywhere (06:06 PM)

I've decided there is no reason to not drink my water, so I've come up with a little system to help me remember what glass number I'm on and talked Steven into giving me $1.00 for every day that I drink the 68 ounces of water that I'm supposed to.

Here's to making $1.00 today since I had all my water!

- Comments left behind -

oh what a great idea...maybe I can join in as well...oh Patrick...

- Martie March 31, 2003 11:39 PM

A good trick for remembering how many glasses you have drank/need to drink put rubber bands around your glass(water bottle), remove one for every glass you drink.

- ginadapooh April 3, 2003 12:31 AM

THAT IS TOO MUCH WATER. I'm warning you, you should not drink that much. You're feeling light headed, right? Well, that's because your electrolites are being thrown out of balance. Drinking alot of water is good. But in extreme cases, people have died from it, and sixty-eight ounces a day is way to much. Even sixty-four is pushing it. I hope you'll listen to me!

Thirty Minutes (04:34 PM)

I managed to make it through thirty minutes yesterday on the StairMaster (forgot to post them- whoops!), but that was it. I figured since I haven't worked out much lately, it's good to start out slow.

I also got my CD from Trish and it looks like another excellent mix. I'm so loving this CD exchange!

Back To The Workout (09:34 PM)

After not being able to work out for a few weeks due to strep thoat, I was finally able to get up on the StairMaster this weekend for a total of forty minutes, all before eating anything. I didn't go very hard since I figured it would probably kill me, but it was kind of nice to get back in the groove of things.

I also wanted to thank Amy, Lisa, and Gillian for their CDs through Allison's CD swap. Mad props go out to Allison for organizing the whole thing and for making the most kick-ass mix CD I have ever seen!

Cool I am also getting back into the groove of things... :0)

Strep Throat It Is! (03:10 PM)

I went to the doctor today and he confirmed what my boyfriend had suspected - I have strep throat. Looks like there won't be any posts here until I kick it.

- Comments left behind -

Oh Kymberlie!! I have had that and it's nasty. Take care of yourself and let your boyfriend wait on you hand and foot until you feel better!!!

Working Out Tracks (04:56 PM)

I just finished addressing the envelopes that my CDs for Alison's First Ever Supa-Cool Fitness/Diet Blogger Workout CD Swap are getting mailed in. On the first pass through all my music, I chose five hours of tunes, so getting everything down to one CD was virtually impossible. Everyone in the two groups I'm in lucked out because I decided to make two CDs instead of just one. The first CD is more upbeat and techno, but I think both of them ought to be good to work out to. If you're curious about what songs I chose, just keep reading.

Sickly Excuses (11:36 AM)

I realize it's been a while since I posted, but I just wanted to give everyone a head's up as to what's going on.

Last week was PMS and The Period From Hell, so no excercising was done. Currently, I'm under the weather with some flu-type sickness, so I don't know when I'll be exercising again - probably not before Sunday at this point.

Anyway, I'm not dead and I received two CDs from Amy today that I can't wait to exercise to. Thanks for the great music, Amy!
