Sunday Workout

I only got to work out Sunday this weekend since Saturday was spent at the Houston Arcade Group Expo, but I did do a full twenty minutes after getting up on Sunday. One day is better than no days, I suppose.

Half Hour

I was able to make it through a half hour on the StairMaster at a pretty moderate speed. Not as good as forty minutes, but not bad for someone who hasn’t worked out a lot in a month or so.

Back to the Grind

I was able to fight off being tired and StairMaster for twenty minutes, but it was tough after not being on for so long. Time to get back into this routine for good.

Thirty Minutes

I managed to make it through thirty minutes yesterday on the StairMaster (forgot to post them- whoops!), but that was it. I figured since I haven’t worked out much lately, it’s good to start out slow.

I also got my CD from Trish and it looks like another excellent mix. I’m so loving this CD exchange!

40 More

Another forty minutes, twenty minutes at the slower pace with longer strides and twenty minutes at a faster pace to burn calories, on the StairMaster.

Weekend Workouts

I stuck with my typical weekend workouts and did twenty minutes not too long after waking up.

Exercising before you eat is supposed to make you burn stored fat and be equivalent to working out for twice as long. Of course, not having eaten, it’s too hard to work out for an extended amount of time, but I can do twenty minutes if I keep it pretty easy with longer strides. Quite a butt workout too.

Thurday Workout

I came home and got on the StairMaster and did another forty minutes, twenty minutes at the slower pace with longer strides and twenty minutes at a faster pace to burn calories. I could feel both a soreness in my stomach muscles and was quite sweaty. I hope that I start seeing some payoff from these sessions soon.

Monday's Workout

We were supposed to go to dance class tonight, but I haven’t been feeling very motivated to go, so Steven and I cancelled. To make up for it I did forry minutes on the StairMaster with ten minutes at level four and ten minutes at level five. Go, me!

Thursday Through Sunday: the Wrap-Up

Seems like I’m always doing a catch up post for Thursday through Sunday. :-)

Thursday
Even though I was really tired and I didn’t want to exercise, I made myself do forty minutes on the StairMaster. The best thing: I did the first thirty minutes at level four and the last ten at level five. That’s harder than I’ve StairMastered in quite some time and I could really tell when I got off. This is going to be the new times/levels until I can do even more.

Saturday
Did twenty minutes at level three before I ate, effectively doubling my time on there.

Sunday
Same as yesterday.

Another Forty

I did another forty minutes on the StairMaster when I got home today despite the fact that Steven actually had my tennis shoes (I wore my sandals and they worked just fine, thankfully). Same drill as yesterday with the first ten minutes done at level three and the rest done at level four.

I think in the upcoming week I’m going to push it to level five and see if I survive.

Back With a Vengence

After the period from Hell which prevented me from working out and caused me to eat really bad, I hit the StairMaster yesterday with a vengence. I did forty minutes, the first ten at level three and the rest at level four.

I’m pretty disgusted with how I look right now, so I’m going to use that to fuel my desire to workout.

Distraction

I was going to come home and StairMaster for forty minutes again. I had just entered a bunch of items for trade over at Swappingtons (if you sign up, please use kymberlie as your referrer) and was getting ready to get on the StairMaster when I saw the 2003 Bloggie nominations were posted. I was elated to find out that Neurotic Fishbowl was nominated for two awards (best designed and best new weblog), so I didn’t get on right away. When I did finally get on, Steven was already home with supper so I only did twenty minutes tonight.

Bad workout, but who could blame me? :-)

Another Forty

Steven and I decided to skip dance class tonight (we take advanced two step and polka) so I came home and StairMastered for another forty minutes, the first twenty on level 3 and the last twenty on level 4. Man, it felt good to burn so many calories!

Probably a good thing that I did the extra time because I drank too many cokes tonight. Bad Kymberlie!

Weekend Update

I really only use the weekends for exercising. I eat whatever I want (within reason) because it’s the weekend, damn it! I’ll try to watch what I eat during the week so I don’t have to during the weekend.

So, back to the update. Both Saturday and Sunday I StairMastered for twenty minutes before I ate, meaning that I burned fat and not just calories. They say if you can StairMaster first thing, it’s like doing twice as much exercise. I also did some ab roller exercises both days as well. Nothing too impressive, but not bad nonetheless.

Two Words

I have two words for you: forty minutes. I just did forty minutes on our StairMaster at level 4 the whole time.

I think what allowed me to go for so long is the new TiVo in the back room. I had the $50,000 National Pastry Competition recorded from The Food Network and was able to watch almost the whole thing. It kept me entertained and not focused on the fact that I was STILL StairMastering.

Now I am off to eat some cereal for dinner!
